I'd whip the bulbs out, check for oxidization on the contacts and in the bulb holders, try a jump wire from the metal bulb housing (not the contacts inside), to a clean earth point. If the bulbs light across a 12v battery they are ok, I'll bet bad earth, or other bad connection.
17 Rayleigh Mar 3, 2009 #1 Hello I have just bought a Ducato 2.8 JTD Maxi van on a 55 plate with 37,000 miles. It replaces a 2.8 JTD Maxi van on an 02 plate with 150,000 miles. The old van when first bought (50,000 miles) returned 31mpg on a mixture of long distance/ town UK/France driving, this was a mixture of half to full load.

I think the engine is around 2005, although it was remapped last year. A friend on Motorhome 365 suggested trying this forum. Two weeks ago, I was climbing long mountain roads in the Pyrenees and My radiator down the bottom on the left hand side (bearing in mind mine is LHD) there was a black screw. Remove this to empty radiator and coolant system. Do do a really good flush, you need to also locate and remove your engine block coolant drain plug. Mine was located at the front towards the bottom just above the starter motor. agHt4.
